You'll be a DC Pick 4 expert once you read our step-by-step game guide! There's a few more steps to this game then your regular number lottery, so read closely and you'll know exactly what you have to do!
There's three draws a day: A Day draw at 1:50 PM, an Evening draw at 7:50 PM and a Night draw at 11:30 PM. Make sure to purchase your tickets online after reading our game rules!
Firstly, you'll want to select a play type so you know which numbers to pick. For instance, if you pick 'Front Three' you'll have to pick three numbers instead of four. Learn what each play type does on our Ways to Play page.
Now you'll know what numbers you have to pick. Mostly this will be four numbers from 0-9. Choose these manually, or use our 'Generator' to get them selected for you.
An interesting aspect of Pick 4 is that you get to choose how much to bet on your numbers coming up! This can be between $0.50 and $1. You can bet on multiple plays on one ticket. The maximum play amount you can spend is $208.
If you want to play the same numbers in multiple consecutive draws, all you have to do is mark this option on your ticket. Select how many you want to enter, this can be up to seven consecutive drawings.
You can choose to play in any future draw on DC Pick 4. This can be up to seven weeks in advance of the day you purchase a ticket.
The Lucky Sum option is an add-on that allows you an additional chance of winning a prize. If your sum of numbers matches the sum of numbers drawn then you'll win. For example, if you played 1,1,1,1 and the numbers drawn were 0,0,0,4 then you will win 'Lucky Sum' as they both add up to 4.
